The Bardwell Curriculum
Bardwell Branch-Out is a play provision commissioned by the Oxfordshire County Council which provides leisure opportunities for young people aged 5-19 with disabilities. We strive to create a safe, playful environment for young people to enjoy while also giving parents and carers well needed respite. Currently we run three after school clubs and one youth group per week:
Mondays: 3.15-5.00pm (for young people aged 5-11)
Wednesdays: 3.15-5.00pm (for young people aged 12-19)
Thursdays: 3.15-5.00pm (for young people aged 5-19)
Fridays: 3.15-5.45pm (for young people aged 14-19)
Alongside after school clubs, we also run 4 days per week in the school holidays. During holiday clubs we offer a range of activities including cooking, arts and crafts, swimming, bush-craft and games and movie days. A typical day in the summer runs from 10.00am – 3.00pm but these vary depending on the activity on offer. All of our staff are highly trained in safeguarding, disability awareness, play worker principles, medical awareness, seizure management, behaviour management and communication with families.
